POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
A dynamic and growing company in the personal technology sector is looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Controller to join their high-performing finance team.

In this role, you’ll ensure timely payments to both local and international suppliers, maintain accurate cashbooks, and drive a team to meet key performance objectives all while keeping operations compliant, efficient, and smooth.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all supplier and customer refund payments are processed on time, including foreign currency transactions
Maintain and update the payments cashbook for accurate age analysis
Create and maintain GL coding manuals and ensure accurate posting to GL accounts and cost centres
Review supplier age analysis weekly and resolve queries efficiently
Assist with audits and ensure statutory VAT compliance
Maintain vendor master data and ensure supplier bank details are accurate
Train, mentor, and coach AP team members to achieve deliverables
Act as 2IC to the AP Manager, supporting deadlines and operational efficiency
Drive system improvements and assist with implementation

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed BCom or Diploma Accounting
5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar position
Experience in a Retail and Stock industry.
Experience with Syspro ERP system would be beneficial
