SUMMARY:
We’re partnering with a top-tier financial services organisation to identify a high-potential actuarial professional for their Corporate Product team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nearly or newly qualified actuary to step into a Senior Specialist role with strong exposure to pricing, product development, and IFRS 17.

POSITION INFO:
You will play a key role in IFRS 17 delivery and enhancement, while partnering with various business units to drive insights and support strategic initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to combine strong technical work with meaningful business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development, pricing, and ongoing management of products within the corporate/business segment
Perform actuarial modelling and analysis to support business decision-making
Contribute to IFRS 17 reporting, including model development, validation, and implementation
Assist with product design enhancements and profitability analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, risk, and distribution
Provide insights and recommendations based on actuarial analysis

Requirements

Minimum of an AMASSA qualification (or close to qualification)
Progression towards FASSA highly advantageous
3–6 years’ actuarial experience within life insurance or financial services
Strong experience in actuarial modelling (e.g. Prophet, Moses, or similar)
Solid understanding and practical exposure to IFRS 17
Experience within the product / pricing space preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
