JOB DESCRIPTION:
To support the International Affairs and Partnerships strategy, the University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint a dynamic, decisive, and knowledgeable person for the position of Senior Administrator. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Administrator are to provide financial, administrative, confidential document administration, and systems related duties for senior institutional leadership.
Reporting directly to the Director: International Affairs and Partnerships, the incumbent will provide administrative support to the Director. The support covers a wide range of administrative tasks that include managing incoming documents, emails and phone calls, scheduling meetings, writing minutes of meetings, making travel arrangements, making accommodation bookings, processing procurement requisitions, compiling information for institutional reports, organizing institutional events and coordinating activities or projects undertaken by the Director’s Office.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Diploma/Degree in Office Management/Administration or similar Diploma/Degree in related field (NQF 7)
- 3 years’ experience in Office Management and Administration Support preferably in a higher education environment.
- Basic financial knowledge is mandatory and basic business acumen
- Knowledge and experience of document management & filing
ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:
- Knowledge of and experience working in an International Office environment within higher education.
- Driver’s License
- Honours degree or higher qualification is an added advantage
