JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, one of Sub-Saharan Africa’s most revered private equity firms, is looking for a Private Equity Senior Associate to join their team in Johannesburg, with ultimate relocation to Nairobi.

Its investments have consistently outperformed the publicly traded stock market benchmarks, producing robust returns for their investors and stakeholders. The qualified candidate will be part of the company’s flagship fund where he/she will play a key role in fundraising for future Pan-African funds.

Job experience & skills required

North / East African / Kenyan national
Must be willing to relocate to Nairobi / already live in Nairobi and travel between SA and Kenya for 6-12 weeks at a time during the first year
Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or any other financial qualification
CFA qualification would be highly beneficial
A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualifying experience in investment banking or private equity at an international firm or fund
Experience in origination, portfolio management, deal evaluation and execution.
Robust valuations, analysis, and modelling skills
