POSITION INFO:
An autonomous Namibian bank, providing superior financial services to individual and corporate clients as well as international banking services by liaising directly with financial centres and institutions worldwide is looking for an Azure Data Engineer. The unique position gives a deep insight into the compliance and IT Methodology processes within the group and offer internal clients an extended warranty due to their vested interests in the success and sustainability of the Group. Responsibilities: Responsible for building and maintaining Big Data Pipelines using Data Platforms Custodians of data and must ensure that data is shared in line with the information classification requirements on a need-to-know basis Experience using programming skills in data related programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, Spark, SQL, Kusto Experience with Azure Data Solutions: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Databricks Profound technical understanding for Data Engineering and Data Warehouse Design Familiar with modern Software engineering concepts like DevOps, CI\/CD and agile processes Know-how in advanced analytics and BI Tools (e. g. Tableau) is a plus. Qualifications and Experience: University degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a comparable field of study with a focus on data intensive applications Experience in architecting and implementing scalable data pipelines in cloud environments Usage and management of the tools to manage the infrastructure: Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Azure Active Directory, AD Connect, Operations Management Suite\/Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, Azure Import\/Export, Azure SQL Server, MySQL, Azure Automation Python Azure Spark SQL The Reference Number for this position is NG59460 which is a Permanent Position in Fourways, Johannesburg offering a salary of R1.2mil up to R1.4mil per annum negotiable based on experience.
