Senior BI Developer

SUMMARY:
An international BI Consultancy is looking for a Remote Snr SQL & Data warehousing Consultant to work on various client projects. You would be working remotely on exciting new international projects.

POSITION INFO:

An international BI Consultancy is looking for a Remote Snr SQL & Data warehousing Consultant to work on various client projects. You would be working remotely on exciting new international projects.

Responsibilities:

• Essential to have solid time management and communication skills
• Design and implement reports and overall BI solution
• Be involved with planning meetings, documentations and testing
• Write stored procedures/ views etc. and take responsibility for the SSRS report
• Work towards a long-term BI solution based on SQL server 2019
• Provide support on the report offerings
• Support and update existing products
• Good understanding of big data manipulation methodology

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc Computer Science or NDip in IT
• Experience in delivering/ planning BI solutions
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a commercial environment
• 3+ years’ experience in Microsoft Analysis Services- authoring OLAP cubes & writing MDX
• Good experience in SSRS Development, creating and fine-tuning SQL reports
• SSAS multi-dimensional modelling experience
• Willing to work extended hours
• Ability to work under pressure

Skills:

• Strong SQL skills and query writing skills
• 4 - 8 years commercial SQL experience
• Strong SQL Server 2019 ideally with some knowledge of SQL Server 2019
• Very strong T-SQL design and development experience essential
• Very strong SSIS with multi-dimensional modelling experience
• Good SSIS
• Good SSRS
• High standard of SQL Query writing and report designs
• Should have good experience in SSRS Development, creating and fine-tuning SQL reports

Advantageous / Non-Essential Skills

It would be useful to have the following experience:

• Hadoop
• Exposure to Azure
• Parallel Database experience
• Predictive Modelling experience
