POSITION INFO:
A prominent organisation is seeking an experienced IT Director to lead its Information Technology function and provide strategic oversight across IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, governance, and technology projects. Reporting to executive leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for aligning technology strategy with organisational objectives, ensuring reliable and secure ICT services, and driving the successful delivery of technology and cybersecurity initiatives. You will oversee senior technology leaders, manage critical supplier relationships, and ensure that technology governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks are embedded across the organisation. This role is ideal for a senior technology executive who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence and thrives in environments where technology plays a pivotal role in organisational success. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the organisation's IT and cybersecurity strategy. Align technology initiatives with business objectives and long-term operational goals. Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, enterprise applications, networks, and cloud services. Lead cybersecurity governance, risk management, and security strategy initiatives. Manage and mentor senior technology leaders and technical teams. Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and resilience frameworks are maintained and regularly tested. Drive enterprise-wide technology and cybersecurity projects from planning through implementation. Oversee technology budgets, resource allocation, and investment planning. Manage service providers, vendor relationships, and contractual agreements. Ensure compliance with relevant governance, information security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Lead risk assessments and implement appropriate technology controls. Provide strategic technology advice and reporting to executive leadership. Job Experience and Skills Required Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field. Relevant project management certification such as Scrum Master. IT governance, risk, or security certifications will be advantageous. Minimum 3 years of senior IT leadership experience. 8 to 10+ years of experience across ICT operations, infrastructure, enterprise applications, or technology management. Proven experience leading technology teams and managing large-scale IT functions. Demonstrated oversight of cybersecurity programmes and information security initiatives. Strong project and programme management experience. Experience managing technology vendors, service providers, and outsourced services. Proven experience managing technology budgets and strategic investments. IT strategy development and execution. Cybersecurity governance and risk management. Enterprise infrastructure and cloud services oversight. IT service management and operational excellence. Business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Vendor and contract management. Technology governance and compliance. Information security and data protection frameworks. Financial management and budgeting. Enterprise project and programme delivery.
