Wealth Manager (New Business) Main Purpose of Job The primary purpose of the Wealth Manager role is to share the Companys story with as many ideal clients as possible, ensuring sustainable growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) in line with the strategic targets . This includes identifying and attracting new families, deepening relationships with existing clients, and proactively cross selling the full suite of integrated wealth, fiduciary, and investment services offered across the Group . A key part of the role is delivering an exceptional client experience in accordance with Service Level Agreements, ensuring that every interaction reflects values of professionalism, client centricity, and trust . Wealth Managers work collaboratively within the broader Wealth Management team and in close partnership with the Wealth Management Assistants (WMAs) to ensure seamless administration and management of their client book . Staying informed of industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes is essential to providing informed advice and maintaining a boutique, holistic Family Office experience . Ultimately, the Wealth Manager contributes directly to growing the business's AUM and supporting the long-term success of clients and the Group . Reports to: Director - Wealth Management Experience Required: Proven and relevant experience (5 years +) of giving advice and holistic financial planning to high-net-worth and ultra-high net worth clients Direct \/ Indirect reports to this position: Wealth Management Associates Education Required: Commerce or Business Science undergrad with postgrad in Financial Planning (requirement) . Further post graduate qualifications advantageous . Professional registration (if applicable): Registered CFP with the FPI Computer Literacy: Xplan or similar CRM system, Microsoft Office suite Personal profile and competencies: Tenacity, sales ability, Interpersonal skills, Initiative, planning, professional presentation skills, flexibility, commitment, attention to detail, accuracy, people management, empathy, emotional intelligence Focus Areas (Tasks - guideline) New Business: To do a set number of presentations and proposals to acquire the desired targets . Network and obtain referrals . Evaluate the closing ratio to the set number of appointments received and implement the relevant strategy to address it, should it not be achieved . Ensure invites to Quarterly seminars are according to target . Attend seminars to welcome guests, answer leads and identify business opportunities for follow-up after the seminars . Servicing and Client Satisfaction: Ensure that client reviews are set up as per schedule (birthday list from XPlan) . Preparation of review pack for the meeting with WMA team . Visit client on a regular basis to provide wealth management feedback and have meaningful discussion to lead to cross selling and increased AUM . Be available to assist client when requested . Consistently re-evaluate the client risk profile and financial needs . Provide a comprehensive service to your client i.e. portfolio, wealth and financial services . Knowledge of the requirements of industry products . CRM (Xplan) and Fintech: Ensure detailed FNA's in Xplan for all clients based on their needs and reviewed annually or as required by SLA . Using Xplan for tasks and threads with WMA - ensure that all tasks are on Xplan to WMA and follow up until completion . Ensure that all clients are on Xplan touch . Attendance of XPlan training . Ensure the accuracy of client information on Xplan . Independent use of XPlan for reporting purposes . Teamwork (interaction with WMA and WM team): Ensure that weekly task meetings take place to discuss all unresolved items . WM to ensure follow up with WMA on all instructions given . Leads given and cooperation with WM team . Ensure Monday morning presentations are relevant (new developments in industry) and tied with case study . Compliance: Ensure all relevant information is obtained from client to comply with regulatory requirements . Keep abreast of all new regulatory developments . Ensure that complete files are always maintained for clients . 100% industry compliance in all file preparation and maintenance . Regular update of fact sheets and similar reports as required . The Result (what you will be measured on) Identifying and signing Ideal Families in line with new business targets: % of AUM at 1% relative to minimum target per month % of Upfront Fees relative to minimum targets per month Encouraging Clients to use 3 or more Services in line with cross-sell target: % of existing clients using 3 or more services measured per quarter Conducting Investment service reviews with clients in line with SLAs: % of clients with completed service reviews per month Introducing new prospects to the Family Office Approach in line with Telling the Story targets: % of new prospects where the Story was told, based on segmentation, measured monthly
