POSITION INFO:

An international cryptocurrency company is growing their team and looking for an experienced head of backend engineering. To be considered for this role, you need to have a high level of initiative and expertise in technical infrastructure, software development, security, and finance.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be leading the technical team in one of their branches and working closely with the rest of the business to ensure requirements are met. You will be required to architect and implement new features as required by internal and external API consumers. You will maintain and improve performance of existing backend code bases.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a business environment (Required)

Experience in the following (Required)

Infrastructure tools - Kubernetes, AWS EC2/VPC/ELB, General Networking

Programming languages - Java, Groovy, JavaScript

Frameworks – Spring, Spring Boot, Grails, JAX-RS / REST, OpenAPI

Databases - MySQL compatible, Athena

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Computer Science / Software Engineering, or related qualification (Advantageous)
