SUMMARY:
Senior Bookkeeper

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate must be able to manage bookkeeping up to trial balance level and handle multiple clients efficiently. 
This role requires expertise in VAT returns, Payroll processing, EMP201 & EMP501 submissions, as well as maintaining WCA and UIF compliance.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Maintaining accurate financial records and process transactions up to trail balance.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, EMP201, and EMP501 returns.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with UIF and WCA requirements.
• Maintain an up-to-date asset register.
• Able to work with multiple accounting software platforms, including but not limited to: Xero, Pastel, Sage online, Quickbooks online, Zoho, Pastel payroll and Excel.
• Handling multiple client accounts efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate professionally with clients, providing clear and timely updates.

• Fully Computer literate with Experience with various accounting software.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance
• Minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience
• Matric
• Relevant certificate or Diploma in accounting, bookkeeping or Finance
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
• Strong time management skills in a professional services environment
