SUMMARY:
Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper
Location:  Clayville in Midrand
Remuneration: Negotiable on experience and qualification

Our client is currently recruiting a Senior Bookkeeper for offices based in Clayville in Midrand.

We are looking for a competent Senior Bookkeeper to accurately perform all the accounting and financial activities of the company related to Commercial Properties.

Must have own transport with a valid driver’s license. Live in and around the Clayville area.


Required qualification and working knowledge:

• Completed BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Management, or a similar Degree
• At least 3 to 7 years of senior bookkeeping experience
• Syspro Accounting Software work experience
• Advanced Excel work experience

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities

• Essential functions and responsibilities:
• Process and maintain trial balance to balance sheet
• Process cashbooks and reconcile to banks statement weekly x5 entities
• Compile monthly cash requirement, and bank balances available
• Process inter-group transfers as required.
• Capture all approved payments
• Prepare creditors payments as per various payment terms including following up on municipal queries
• Balance sheet control:
• Balance inter-company loan accounts
• Complete all reconciliations per Excel workbook:
• Accruals
• Capital WIP
• Debtors related
• Statutory controls
• Subsidiary Investment accounts
• Raise all debtor invoices
• Premises rental
• Cost recoveries
• Management fees
• Process monthly standard journals relating to
• Debtors insurance
• Amortisations of annual expenses
• Software licences, etc
• Preparation and submission of VAT
• Controlled and reconciled to SARS statements
• Prepare various financial reports for Management Accounts
• Prepare Annual Financial statements to be signed off by auditors
