SUMMARY:

Senior Bookkeeper

Our client operating within the commercial printing environment is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team in Sandton, Johannesburg. In this role, the employee will be responsible for the accurate management of financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards. The position will collaborate across departments, supervise junior staff, and provide insights that support the organisation’s financial health and performance. POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally in a large corporate environment.
Proficiency in Sage Evolution and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and prepare Financial Statements for management review.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Conduct bank reconciliations, manage cash flow, and prepare forecasts.
Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with regulations.
Monitor compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for various projects.
Train, mentor, and supervise junior bookkeeping staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Manage the full creditors function and other related financial processes.
