An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Bookkeeper to join a dynamic and fastâgrowing finance team based in Cape Town. This role is ideal for a meticulous and proactive finance professional who thrives in a fastâpaced environment and has strong experience managing endâtoâend bookkeeping functions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting cycles, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements

BCom Degree or relevant financial qualification
5–10 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
Experience in retail or manufacturing environments
Strong experience with SAP (essential)
Exposure to Shopify
Strong Excel and financial reporting skills

Key Responsibilities

Manage bank accounts, including daily statements and reconciliations
Oversee store cash-ups and ensure accurate reconciliation across multiple branches
Process debit orders and ensure accurate postings
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reporting
Maintain and reconcile control accounts (e.g., credit cards, fleet, insurance)
Manage supplier invoices, imports, and payments
Process payroll-related payments (wages, salaries, statutory payments)
Handle client refunds and ensure accurate processing
Maintain financial records on systems such as SAP
Prepare financial reports and support management reporting
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with financial procedures
