SENIOR BOOKKEEPER
Northern Suburbs

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage the full bookkeeping and accounting cycle across multiple entities. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, sound financial controls and the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements: Grade 12. BCom Accounting or Advanced Diploma in Accounting. Minimum of 5 yearsâ bookkeeping experience. Valid South African ID. Experience managing multiple entities and complex reconciliations. Strong technical accounting and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Manage financial reporting, journals, reconciliations and month-end processes. Review bank, petty cash, credit card, debtors and creditors reconciliations. Prepare management accounts, audit files and balance sheet reconciliations. Manage VAT, EMP201, withholding tax and other SARS submissions. Oversee stock reconciliations, stock takes, import costing and related journals. Process foreign payments and assist with import and export administration. Maintain fixed asset records, intercompany loans and royalty accounting. Monitor daily cash flow and investment accounts. Approve payments, verify beneficiaries and maintain fraud-prevention controls. Provide support across cashbook, creditors and debtors functions when required. Required Skills: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Results-driven and comfortable working under pressure.
