JOB SUMMARY:
A long-standing company that is situated in Hout Bay, has a challenging and exciting opportunity available for a Senior Bookkeeper. This is an opportunity to join a company with a recognised footprint in the area.

Please note that this is an office-based position, and the successful candidate must be willing to travel to Hout Bay daily.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Managing the full bookkeeping function to trial balance as follows:

Cashbook processing
Invoicing
Creditors and Debtors’ management
Timely payment of statutory liabilities (VAT/EMP201/EMP501)
Financial Reporting (weekly and monthly)
PAYE and UIF calculations and submissions
General ledgers
Reconciliation of accounts
Handling accounts receivable and payable
Audit preparations
Any additional financial responsibilities as required

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
Minimum of Bookkeeping or Accounting related Diploma / Degree.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience of working on various accounting programs
Ability to handle a large workload
Ability to handle more than one company’s books at once
Excellent Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables and V-Lookups)
Management experience will count in your favour
