Senior Bookkeeper / Business Administrator

SUMMARY:
Ballito - A growing business in the renewable energy and technology sector is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper / Business Administrator to take ownership of the full finance function, while also managing key administrative and operational processes within the business.
 
This is a hands-on, all-round role suited to someone who is highly organised, trustworthy, and comfortable working across finance, operations, and office administration.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Bookkeeping:

• Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
• Cashbook management and processing of transactions
• Creditors processing and payment preparation
• Bank, creditor, and general reconciliations
• Converting job cards into invoices
• Following up with clients on outstanding payments
• Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
• Assisting with monthly management accounts and reporting

• Managing time, attendance, and leave tracking for payroll
• Supporting payroll processes in coordination with external accountants
• General office administration and coordination

• Managing and tracking inventory/stock
• Assisting with stocktakes and stock control processes
• Hands-on involvement in organising warehouse inventory
• Coordinating and dispatching materials to work teams

• Relevant qualification in Accounting/Finance
• Proven experience in a senior bookkeeping or all-round administrative role
• Experience working on Sage One (or similar accounting systems)
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial processes
• Experience with invoicing, debtors follow-ups, and stock control
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• High level of integrity with a clean credit record
• Hands-on and willing to be involved in both finance and operations
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Able to manage multiple functions within a growing business
• Reliable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment
