Senior Business Analyst

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Telecommunications sector requires a Senior Business Analyst on a 6 month contract. The role will ensure that the functional design is representative of the business’s current and future requirements and that the design facilitates business transformation

POSITION INFO:
Key Requirement

• Gather, define, analyse and evaluate the needs of the business unit and its stakeholders
• Utilise analytical techniques like business process modelling and mapping, process flows, etc.
• Analyse information needs and work out the best way to meet those needs
• Analyse system components, and define the systems structures and inputs required
• Analyse user requirements regarding new business functions, enhancements, or changes to existing system functionality
• Perform analysis on the various revenue streams to determine potential revenue leakage
• Refine and implement additional controls on processes where revenue leakage has occurred
• Responsible for compiling and driving URS for the divisions
• Responsible for the implementation and management of the Systems Development Life Cycle.

• Produce weekly status reports to keep stakeholders updated on progress of design
• Ensure there are no audit findings in terms of non-adherence to standards
• Able to research and compile a business case, feasibility, and impact studies
• Analyse system performance, identify possible shortcomings or improvements, and implement those improvements.

• Defining of standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure updated process management
• Implement, update, and maintain process library
• Redesign existing processes to improve efficiencies and remove wastage and bottle necks.
• Business customer (internal/ external) and the development team

• Experience of the Telco business environment
• Experience in Telco Technology environment
• Previously been part of previous Customer management and billing projects
• Previously has been part of multi-year, multi-disciplinary OSS, and BSS projects
• Active holistic stakeholder management
• Active risk management
• Challenge possible incorrect actions BABOK understanding
• eTOM understanding
• ITIL understanding
• BSS / OSS solution implementation experience
