JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a Senior Business Consultant with the following skillset to join our team:

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Business Consultant is a core member of a layered, multi-disciplinary team responsible for the implementation of the clients in the Wealth Management, Transfer Agency, Funds Administration domains. This may entail designing, developing, testing, and implementing one or more business solutions. The Senior Business Consultant's responsibility will be to provide guidance regarding the client capabilities and operational use to support a client's product proposition and operating model. Relevant domain knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities:
Solutioning

Collaborate with client staff to define how an in-scope business process will be fulfilled through the alignment of people, process and technology
Investigate, define and document how the client's requirements can be best supported within the Sonata platform through configuration, workflow setup or core development
Challenge client requirements where benefit or business driver is not obvious
Participate in the configuration of the Sonata application or other products as needed
Document requirements in the form of clear, concise, testable business outcomes; develop the testing criteria that engineering staff will use to ensure that any development work has been successfully completed
Seek commonality between different initiatives to ensure consistency of solution
Engage with global colleagues to validate intended system changes
Advise the client on ways in which other clients are using the software

Self-Management

Validate planned dates and estimates for assigned tasks, providing feedback/escalation where necessary
Self-manage workload, prioritise appropriately and report blockers to
Proactively seek to resolve issues and blockers on the allocated workstream, escalating to Principals where appropriate

Quality Delivery

Follow Bravura processes and use designated templates to expected standard
Seek to propose improvement to processes and templates
Perform allocated testing to validate system behaviour, including consideration of additional aspects to mitigate regression risk
Undertake triage and resolution of issues, ensuring alignment with approved requirements and solutions
Investigate and seek to reproduce defects prior to them being passed to Development

Collaboration

Provide guidance and coaching to Consultants
Assist Principal Consultants with onboarding of new hires and project joiners
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the client and internal stakeholders
Demonstrate and train client staff on use of the solution

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

At least 7 years’ experience in a business consulting / client facing capacity within successful technology implementation programmes
Experience of multiple, end-end implementations of large financial applications
Financial Services background essential with Wealth Management, Funds Admin, Transfer Agency experience a must
Experience working for a software solution provider is an advantage
Experience with a workflow tool and BPMN – designing or setting up processes – is an advantage
Understanding of APIs and / or web services
Ability to use SQL queries to analyse and triage data issues
Educated to degree level in Commerce or IT
