Our client, a multinational FMCG organisation is seeking a Senior Business Manager to join their team based in Johannesburg

Description

The role of the Senior Business Manager entails, but not limited to the following:

Strategy Planning, Budgeting, Estimate Process
*Co-develop & build mid-term strategy with GM, Country Manager and BMs, for each brand by country, lead the development of a 3 year long range plan for submission and approval by the EMEA regional leadership based in France
* Co-develop & build annual budgets by brand with GM and BMs, working with regional management in France & Global Brand management in NY to hit financial targets set
* Co-responsible for delivering each fiscal''s planned sales, net operating profit, and market share growth via distribution expansion

Business Partnering
* Responsible for providing commercial support the respective business owners
* Being key contract for analytical requests from the business
* Able to problem-solve and find solutions
* Ability to stand firm in financial advice and policies

Commercial & Financial Reporting
* Draft quarterly GM report, to be submitted by Country Manager to Region/Global leadership
* Co-chair with Country Manager monthly financial & operational reviews, and question actual variances to plan, latest estimate and Prior year for the month, year-to-date, balance of the year and full year.
* Work with Finance Manager to oversee and ensure positive cash flow, ensure AR reports are up to date and AR collections are not overdue
* Drive communication with distributor/retail partners on status of accounts to avoid credit holds/ensure no sales are lost

Profile

The suitable candidate should possess the following:

• CIMA or CA qualified
• FMCG and manufacturing experience would be an advantage
• Experience in other African experience ideal
• High level business partnering experience
• Great communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
