The perfect incumbent for this position must be highly motivated and will be given exposed to different aspects of the company while forming part of the team on a global level whilst contributing to the protection and enhancement of the company’s values. The appointee will form part of a team that applies innovative internal audit practices to provides excellent assurance and advisory services.

The Internal Audit Team:

It is a global culturally diverse team consisting of 20 nationalities and 11 languages. The team values individuals who are willing to accept and exercise company values such as inner drive, openness, integrity, simplicity, entrepreneurialism, and safety. Our team is shifting to a future-proof audit model, assessing risk area themes across the Group and integrating data science as one of its core components in pursuing an insights-driven auditing function

Education:

• Relevant tertiary degree within Internal Audit, Risk, Information Systems or Accounting
• CA(SA) or CIA/CISM/CISA/CRISC advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 8-10 years’ work experience (mining sector /natural resources sector)

Job Responsibilities: (not limited to)

• Engaging with subject matter experts to gather insights on the audit area
• Present audit results and solutions to management
• Following up on agreed management actions until resolution
• Assist with Audit Committee reporting
• Help shift the audit profession into the future by using digital technology with the vision of delivering outstanding risk and audit management services
• Plan, execute and report on remote and on-site auditing
• Undertake ad-hoc special revies as required
• Identification of management controls to mitigate key risks
