Senior Civil Engineer

SUMMARY:
A leading consulting engineering firm is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their Civil Department in Cape Town, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a solid background in civil engineering design and specific expertise in the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering impactful projects from concept to completion, contributing to a more sustainable future.

POSITION INFO:

Design and execution of civil works for renewable energy projects
Develop comprehensive engineering reports and detailed designs
Ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Work closely with environmental consultants, structural engineers, project managers, and contractors
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies
Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance
Manage project timelines, schedules, and resources
Regularly evaluate project performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement
Use Civil 3D for accurate and efficient modeling and project execution

Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (B.Eng / BSc) or an equivalent qualification from a recognised and accredited institution
Minimum 7 to 10 years of proven experience in civil engineering, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy projects, particularly solar and wind
Professional registration with ECSA is preferred (or eligibility for registration will be an advantage)

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
