Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer

Pretoria, Gauteng
A leading African infrastructure development consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team in Pretoria.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects across the water, transportation, municipal services, and energy sectors. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong consulting engineer with a passion for sustainable development and infrastructure delivery throughout Southern Africa

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders Oversee water, wastewater, roads, stormwater, and municipal infrastructure projects Prepare technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation Perform project planning, budgeting, and risk management Ensure compliance with engineering standards and statutory requirements Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers Liaise with municipal, government, and private-sector clients Support construction monitoring and contract administration activities Minimum Requirements BEng \/ BSc Civil Engineering Professional registration with ECSA (PrEng) 8-15 years' consulting engineering experience Proven experience in municipal infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of water, wastewater, roads, and bulk services design Experience with contract administration and construction supervision Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and relevant design software Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills Willingness to travel when required Advantageous Experience SANRAL, municipal, or public infrastructure projects Water treatment works and bulk water infrastructure Transportation and public-sector developments FIDIC, GCC, or NEC contract experience Exposure to projects across Africa What the Company Offers Opportunity to work on high-impact infrastructure developments Exposure to large multidisciplinary projects across Africa Career growth within a leading infrastructure development consultancy Collaborative and purpose-driven working environment Competitive remuneration package If you are passionate about shaping Africa's infrastructure future and delivering sustainable engineering solutions that improve communities, we would like to hear from you.
