Senior Contracts Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for Senior Contracts Manager in Johannesburg North managing over numerous site/projects in/and surrounding provinces. This will be a 16.2 appointment in terms of the OSH Act.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is looking for a bright active Senior Contracts Manager

Responsibilities
• Logistics and resource management
• Site environmental matters
• Ensure contracts are suitably resourced with regard to labour, material and equipment
• Implementation, co-ordination and management of the IMS systems
• Co-ordinate the technical aspects of the contract(s) under your management
• Ensure the contractual/commercial management of the contracts
• Responsible to drive compliance with contracts
• Responsible for HR/IR matters on the contracts including appointments, disciplinary and employee/union engagements
• Assume responsibility for equipment, vehicles and other resources assigned to the contracts
• Undertake site walks to assess work procedures, site conditions, safety compliance, environmental compliance, technical guidance and feedback
• Manage costs and expenditure in line with budgets
• Ensure invoicing is submitted and that payments by the client are made timeously
• Continuous improvement plans and communicate these to management
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and control requirements
• Delegation of duties to suitably qualified personnel
• Undertake assessments of training requirements for personnel
• Review contract performance
• Assist in the marketing of the company’s services and offerings

Knowledge, skills abilities and qualifications
• Above average working knowledge of the ISO standards, OSHAct and the Labour Relations Act
• Sound knowledge of quality, environmental, risk, occupational health and safety principles
• SACPCMP membership/registration
• Minimum of NQF 7 qualification is required. NACE 1 or more would be advantageous.

Experience
• At least 5 years successful experience on large infrastructure projects and or maintenance contracts
