JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Senior Copywriter with 10+ years' copywriting experience, who is both conceptual and can turn their hand to short and long form copy. The role involves some research, which will include learning about the client's products and services. A design sensitivity would be useful as you will have to communicate ideas to your Art Director and broader team. The ideal candidate would be someone who:

wants to work more closely with clients and brands, a self-starter who can hold their own in a team and relishes the opportunity to be a part of something dynamic.
has intellectual rigour and business acumen, but with soft skills including the ability to build rapport quickly.
who is organised enough to take projects and deliver them within the set timeframe in a professional manner.
who is keen to add value to existing briefs and delight the end client.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Work on projects from start-to-finish
Translate clients’ marketing objectives into clear, compelling, brand-appropriate ideas and copy
Produce creativeâ¯copyâ¯with a clear rationale to accompany the work
Act as aâ¯brandâ¯guardian forâ¯the clientâ¯following guidelines and tone of voice documents
Createâ¯copyâ¯from scratchâ¯or rewrite copy
Proofread other work and carefully check your own
Understand what makes GREAT creative ideas
Write copy for all creative outputs, including, but not limited to; Campaign concepts & copy, email, paid and organic social ads, YouTube scripts, digital display banners and PPC
Create copy matrices to accompany your work
Participate in the development of creative materials, from concept to execution
Translate clients’ marketing objectives into clear, compelling, brand-appropriate ideas and copy
Ensure that all work meets or exceeds the quality standards of the agency
Undertake internal work for the business as and when it’s required
Mentoring of junior creatives

Requirements:

Work closely with the wider client team and subject experts, to ensure consistency and accuracy across all messaging
Make proactive recommendations for the direction of client projects
Undertake research and develop an understanding of the client's target audience and competitor products
Have an appreciation for metrics and can make recommendations on how to measure the success of campaigns
Form close relationships with the team to source product information and product selling points
Create original on-brand copy across a variety of channels to a high standard, meeting tight deadlines
Be able to work independently but also as a team with the other writers and proofread each other's work

Experience and Skills:

Writing for agencies
Strong experience working and presenting to clients
Client sensitivity: understanding problems from a client perspective
Time management: planning and executing work in a timely and efficient manner
Communication skills: ability to communicate verbally as well as in writing
Team and leadership skills: ability to work collaboratively and lead in presentations
Able to think strategically and ideate from a strategic brief (or create a brief yourself)
