SUMMARY:
We’re Hiring: A Senior Corporate Actuarial Analyst (Johannesburg North, on-site).

POSITION INFO:
Join a leading insurance player in Southern Africa, partnering with brokers and customers to improve risk profiles across the continent. We are looking for a Senior Corporate Actuarial Analyst to join our finance division, focusing on reserving, capital analytics, and reporting while supporting key business decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Perform reserving and capital data extraction, transformation, model runs, and reporting while adhering to governance and quality standards.
Prepare quarterly reserve and profitability review reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
Contribute to regulatory returns and the company’s Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), including stress and scenario testing and solvency projections.
Support annual planning, reinsurance programme renewals, and large loss/catastrophe projections.
Collaborate closely with Claims, Finance, Pricing, Product, and Underwriting teams.
Work within IFRS17 frameworks and apply actuarial concepts, methods, and techniques.

What We’re Looking For:

A Degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
Significant progress towards actuarial qualification.
At least 5 years of relevant actuarial experience.
Proficiency in reserving and capital modelling software (Psicle, Igloo, ResQ, etc.).
Ability to extract, summarise, and present data effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, deadline-driven, and client-focused mindset.
Collaborative team player with high attention to detail.
