SUMMARY:

An exciting opportunity has become available for Senior Credit Risk Consultants to join a highâperforming Credit Risk & Capital Management team within a specialist Financial Risk Management environment.

POSITION INFO:

In this role, you will work on the development, validation, and review of complex credit risk models used for provisioning and regulatory capital purposes. You will collaborate with a diverse group of quantitative professionals and gain exposure to a wide range of clients, from local credit providers to globally systemically important banks.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will play an active role in coaching and supporting junior team members, contributing to a strong learning and performance culture.

Key responsibilities

Develop and review credit risk models for IFRS 9 provisioning and regulatory capital purposes
Assist with coding, automation, and enhancement of financial risk management models
Apply contemporary statistical techniques and best practices in credit risk modelling
Support the training and mentoring of junior team members
Contribute to a collaborative coaching culture where constructive challenge and knowledgeâsharing are encouraged

Skills and attributes

Strong understanding of credit risk modelling methodologies and statistical techniques
Ability to read, write, and interpret code; experience with Python, R, or SAS is advantageous
Strong organizational and timeâmanagement skills in a fastâpaced environment
Selfâdriven, resilient, and highly motivated
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex quantitative concepts to both technical and nonâtechnical stakeholders
A collaborative team player with a growth mindset

Minimum requirements

Honours or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or similar
At least 2 years’ experience in a quantitative credit riskâfocused role
Experience in coaching, mentoring, or supervising junior team members will be an advantage
