Senior Data & BI Developer

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Data and BI Developer to join their team. They specialise in data-driven digital solutions across multiple industries. This opportunity allows you to work on cutting-edge Microsoft data platforms while collaborating directly with customers to deliver impactful business intelligence solutions.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in data development and business intelligence
• Strong SQL Server skills (SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS)
• Proven expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, and dashboard/report design)
• Hands-on experience building cloud data solutions in Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Analysis Services)
• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL workflows and performance tuning
• Able to work effectively in a collaborative, customer-facing environment
• Experience working in Agile development teams (e.g., Jira and Confluence)
• Willingness to travel periodically for customer meetings
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (advantageous):
  • Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)
• Microsoft Fabric, or other cloud platforms (Google BigQuery, Snowflake, and AWS)
• Advanced analytics or machine learning exposure
• Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills

• Architect, design, and deliver BI solutions using Microsoft Azure and Power BI
• Develop robust data pipelines, transformations, integrations, and models
• Engage with customers to gather requirements and turn data into actionable insights
• Lead and support junior team members in best-practice data delivery
• Optimise workflows for performance, governance, and scalability
• Contribute to cloud adoption, modernisation, and automation initiatives
• Ensure a high standard of quality, reliability, and documentation
• Stay current with evolving Microsoft technologies and leverage new features
