• Leadership: Provide technical direction and mentorship to Data Engineering teams, ensuring the high-quality delivery of projects and alignment with organizational goals.
• Data Engineering Projects: Lead the development and delivery of large-scale data solutions, ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality results.
• System Maintenance & Support: Oversee system upkeep, database optimization, and codebase enhancements to maintain data integrity and performance.
• Knowledge Sharing: Mentor Junior Engineers and document best practices to ensure effective knowledge transfer across teams.

• Education:
  • BEng, BSc (Comp Sci), or a related STEM qualification.
  • Other Degrees in IT, Math, or Stats will be considered, with relevant experience.
• Experience:
  • At least 4 years in data engineering, with hands-on experience in ETL, data warehousing, and big data environments.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role, managing data engineering teams and delivering large-scale data projects.
• Skills:
  • SQL (MSSQL required; other databases like Oracle/MySQL a plus).
  • Power BI, SSRS, SSAS experience.
  • Strong programming in Python, DAX, with knowledge of PySpark and other tools like Azure, Databricks, and Synapse.
  • Experience with GIS or telemetry data processing is beneficial.
