POSITION INFO:

A global company on a mission to unlock Africa’s potential by creating work opportunities for its growing talent pool and rapidly scaling to become a multi-billion-dollar technology services provider has an opening for a Senior Data Scientist to apply advanced data science and machine learning techniques. You will work across multiple industries, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy machine learning models that deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement machine learning models and data science solutions to address business challenges.
Lead research and development of innovative data science techniques, ensuring models are aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into products and services.
Communicate findings and model impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new methodologies into your work.
Mentor and support junior data scientists, promoting a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, with a proven track record of developing and deploying models.
Proficiency in Python and experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably Azure).
Strong background in machine learning algorithms, data analysis, and decision science.
Experience with the full machine learning product lifecycle, from research to deployment.
