Senior Designer

SUMMARY:
The Senior Designer is responsible for leading the design process, managing design projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions that align with the company''s brand identity and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Leadership:

• Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior designers and design teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Lead brainstorming sessions and design critiques to foster innovation and creativity.

1. Project Management:

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Develop project timelines, milestones, and budgets in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and agencies as needed.

1. Design Strategy:

• Develop design strategies that align with the company''s brand identity and business goals.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify design trends, user preferences, and industry best practices.
• Translate business requirements and user needs into compelling design solutions.

1. Visual Design:

• Create high-quality visual designs for various digital and print mediums, including websites, mobile apps, marketing collateral, and branding materials.
• Ensure consistency in design elements, typography, and color schemes across all platforms.
• Use industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to execute design projects.

1. User Experience (UX) Design:

• Develop user-centric design solutions that enhance the usability and accessibility of digital products and services.
• Conduct user research, user testing, and usability evaluations to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
• Collaborate with UX researchers, product managers, and developers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.

1. Communication and Collaboration:

• Communicate design concepts, ideas, and rationale effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to integrate design solutions into product development processes.
• Present design proposals, prototypes, and deliverables to clients, executives, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. Master''s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
• Proficiency in design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.
• Solid understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques.
• Experience with user-cantered design methodologies and UX/UI best practices.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development technologies is a plus.
• Experience working in agile or iterative development environments is desirable.
• Familiarity with motion graphics, animation, and interactive design is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of design projects from start to finish.
