ROLE OVERVIEW:
A strong background in the financial investment and insurance domain is essential. This exciting full-time opportunity requires 5–10 years of solid DevOps experience and involves working on systems that deploy multiple instances of a SaaS application within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on investments and long-term insurance. The role includes the management of multiple server environments, automation of builds and deployments, system security, networking, and operational database administration. The systems operate on Linux-based environments, running on self-managed servers or virtual machines, with the use of container-based virtualisation and Docker images.

POSITION INFO:
Required Qualifications & Experience:

At least an Honours degree (or 4 year equivalent) with focus on software.
5–10 years of solid DevOps experience
Strong experience within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on investments and long-term insurance
Linux (Ubuntu)
Docker
Nginx
(DB system administration)
Scripting in Python, Ruby, bash
AWS and dedicated hosting
Git
Continuous integration (Jenkins)
Configuration management (Chef)
Security (eg. firewalls, network)
Strong focus on automation

Work from anywhere with flexible hours (which implies you need a lot of self-discipline and strong work ethic)
Be part of an experienced team (which means that you need to be inquisitive, be able to explore and enjoy learning; communicate well)
Solving difficult problems every day (you must be able to handle complexity, enjoy system design and handle pressure well)
