POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description: Our client is looking for a Senior Digital Content & Communications Specialist to take ownership of digital content strategy, editorial quality, information structure and content migration. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming complex and document-heavy information into accessible, user-friendly web content. This role is ideal for an experienced digital content professional who combines strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of content strategy, information architecture, SEO and CMS publishing. Key Responsibilities: Lead digital content strategy, modernisation and editorial quality initiatives. Develop, edit and proofread high-quality digital and web content. Plan and manage content inventories, migrations and CMS publishing. Structure and optimise web content, including metadata and SEO fundamentals. Convert complex business or technical information into clear content for different audiences. Apply strong editorial standards and conduct stakeholder interviews. Support website modernisation and CMS migration projects. Ensure content follows accessibility-aware practices, including appropriate headings, descriptive links, alternative text and accessible tables. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Degree or National Diploma in Communication, Marketing, Journalism or a relevant equivalent field. Experience: Minimum 5 years' professional experience in digital copywriting and content strategy. Proven experience in professional web copywriting, editing and proofreading. Experience with content strategy and information architecture. Experience with content inventories, migration planning and CMS publishing. Experience converting document\/PDF-heavy information into structured HTML\/web content. Experience supporting CMS migration or website modernisation projects will be advantageous. Experience in content governance, taxonomy and search optimisation will be advantageous. Skills: Strong digital writing and editorial skills. Content strategy and information architecture. SEO and metadata fundamentals. CMS publishing. Strong stakeholder engagement and interviewing skills. Ability to simplify complex business or technical information. Basic GA4\/content-performance literacy. Strong understanding of accessible digital content practices. Additional Requirements: A portfolio or examples of previous digital content work are strongly preferred.
