POSITION INFO:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Draughtsman to produce high-quality structural steel detailing drawings for fabrication and site erection. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in structural steel detailing, with advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures and Strumis being essential. This role requires a strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes, excellent technical drawing skills, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, workshop, and site teams to deliver accurate, compliant, and efficient project documentation. Candidates with strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality are encouraged to apply. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5+ years'' experience in structural steel detailing. Proven experience producing structural steel fabrication and erection drawings. Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures ( essential ). Experience with Strumis ( essential ). Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, construction processes, steel connections, assemblies, and detailing standards. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design calculations. Knowledge of fabrication tolerances, erection requirements, and industry standards. Valid driver''s licence. Advantageous: Experience with SMPP (Structural, Mechanical, Platework & Piping) projects. Knowledge of BIM coordination and model management. Experience generating CNC data and supporting workshop production processes. Key Responsibilities: Produce accurate fabrication, assembly, GA, single-part, and erection drawings using Tekla Structures. Generate bills of materials (BOMs), NC files, and fabrication reports. Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, workshop, and site teams. Review drawings for quality, constructability, and fabrication efficiency. Resolve detailing queries and implement design revisions. Maintain drawing registers and revision control. Provide technical support to workshop production. Ensure drawing deliverables are completed on schedule. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior draughtsmen.
