SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join a respected multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for designing innovative electrical systems for building services projects across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Design electrical systems specification, including lighting, power distribution, standby generation, fire detection, and building management systems
Prepare technical reports, tender documentation, and engineering drawings
Perform calculations to support designs, ensuring compliance with local and international standards
Collaborate with clients, Architects, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle
Conduct site inspections and provide input during commissioning and handover phases
Keep up to date with technological advancements and regulatory changes in the electrical engineering field

Requirements:

BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering or building services
Proficient in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design packages (e.g., Dialux, and Amtech)
Knowledge of SANS, IEC, and relevant building codes and regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Advantageous:

ECSA registration or working towards professional registration
Experience in sustainable design and energy efficiency strategies
Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination and client liaison
