Senior Electrical Engineer

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for designing innovative electrical systems for building services projects across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems specification, including lighting, power distribution, standby generation, fire detection, and building management systems
• Prepare technical reports, tender documentation, and engineering drawings
• Perform calculations to support designs, ensuring compliance with local and international standards
• Collaborate with clients, Architects, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct site inspections and provide input during commissioning and handover phases
• Keep up to date with technological advancements and regulatory changes in the electrical engineering field

• BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering or building services
• Proficient in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design packages (e.g., Dialux, and Amtech)
• Knowledge of SANS, IEC, and relevant building codes and regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• ECSA registration or working towards professional registration
• Experience in sustainable design and energy efficiency strategies
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination and client liaison
