Senior Electrical Engineer (EPR)

POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for a 12-month fixed term contract for our client in Mpumalanga. To deliver expert technical support in engineering discipline in projects and to contribute effectively to the development of the Groupâ??s business growth and operations.

 

We require your extensive Control and Instrumentation Experience.

Will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes.

 

 

Minimum educational level:                                                      

• BEng Electrical Engineering
• Gov Cert of Competence: Engineering
• Certificate Project Management

 

We require your 8 Yearsâ?? work experience in:

• Maintenance
• Project Engineering
• Contract Management
• Project Management
• Hazard identification
• Risk assessment
• Procurement

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure design for reliability and maintainability
• Adhere to appropriate quality management systems
• Support technology capabilities involved in project execution and delivery within Engineering discipline
• Ensure compliance to sound engineering standards and quality
• Ensure a standardized approach to service delivery is followed within discipline
• Ensure compliance to all standards, specifications and procedures of the Company and the Business Unit (BU)
• Provide expert technical support and direction to project teams and business units
• Identify needs and support line management with technical issues
• Adhere to the systems and initiatives to drive performance excellence
• Participate in engineering forums, tertiary educational relationships, professional external forums, relevant Communities of Practice (CoP''s) and in any innovation processes
• Technical contribution in individual skill area based on sound principles
• Contribute to high-performance teams
• Articulate, adopt, embrace and live the Companyâ??s values
• Adhere to functional policies, standards, specifications, guidelines, procedures, end-to-end processes, tools, templates etc.

• Support the execution of discipline and project strategy
• Comply to metrics and targets for business process structure
• Participate in new fit for purpose discipline specific projects in support of the Groupâ??s strategic objectives
• Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations and practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable Safety Health Environment and Community (SHEC) policies and procedures in line with set standards
• Encourage and ensure a culture that focuses on safety in all operations
• Ensure compliance to Safety, Health and Environmental legislation during execution of duties
• Ensure design for safety
