Senior Electrical Engineer (Mining) - Musina Limpopo

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer (Mining) for a long term position at Venetia Mine in Musina Limpopo that meets the following requirements:

Responsibilities:

Ensure that work is performed to ‘Zero Tolerance’ principles to prevent harm to persons, damage to machinery and equipment
Assist with the stabilization and optimisation of machinery performance and reliability
Interpreting the organisational requirements for the section, to compile and develop a risk log with appropriate mitigation solutions that align with the strategic business plans
Contributing to the continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives for the engineering processes as well as contractor management
Implementing the asset management planned execution for utilities and electrical sections and coordinating the development management and enhancement of maintenance plans
Implementing critical plant and Equipment strategies / tactics are delivering to the defined availability, reliability and cost / operated hour within the lifecycle model and production plan
Identify cost saving and optimisation opportunities
Assist the site team to ensure all safety devices and facilities are operational and correctly used
Gives direct input in the engineering training strategy for the operation
Assist with the management of department cash flows ensuring alignment to budget plans and forecasts
This role is in the Engineering Department and reports to the Senior Engineering Manager

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
GCC for Mines and Works (Advantageous)

Required Experience:

Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in the Mining or heavy industry, 5 years’ of which must be in a management role
Asset Management, Utility and Maintenance experience
Sound knowledge in Electrical Infrastructure
Medium Voltage to Low Voltage experience is key
Mining experience a must

Must be willing to relocate
