SUMMARY:
This is not a toolbox-only role.
This is a lead-from-the-front position.
We’re looking for a technically strong Electrical Technician who can supervise teams, take installation responsibility, and ensure compliance from start to sign-off.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising electrical installation teams on-site
Ensuring work complies with SANS 10142 and safety standards
Inspection, testing & verification of installations
Issuing and signing off Certificates of Compliance (where applicable)
Managing quality control on projects
Coordinating with project managers, engineers & clients
Fault finding and problem-solving on complex installations
Ensuring timelines and safety standards are maintained

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified Electrical Technician / Electrician
Valid Wireman’s License (3-Phase preferred)
Registration with Department of Labour
Proven supervisory experience on industrial/commercial projects
Strong understanding of drawings, schematics & specifications
Ability to manage teams and enforce standards

Advantageous:

Industrial plant / heavy industry exposure
MCC & control panel experience
Exposure to automation systems

This role requires someone who can take control of site activities —
not just complete tasks, but own the standard of work delivered.
