Senior Electronics Design Engineer

SUMMARY:
This is an opportunity for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join a company that specializes in sensing technology. Lead a team of Electronics Design Engineers, where you will be designing high quality electronic products for manufacturing purposes.

POSITION INFO:

Must Design certification strategies that drive product design

Managing the product certification team

Liaising with product quality assurance

Working with stakeholders to understand standards, requirements, specifications and project structure

Coordinate product RF, EMC, safety and hazardous atmosphere certification and pre-compliance assessments

Responsible for leading a team of electronic design Engineers

You will also be mentoring junior engineers

Must be willing to have a hands-on approach and assist in detail design and review process

Responsible for developing and maintaining engineering best-practices, processes, guidelines and checklists for hardware engineers

Skills & Experience:

Knowledge of laboratory equipment such as spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, power meters, etc

IEC 61010-1, IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1 safety certification experience is adv.

IEC 60079-11 intrinsically safe product certification experience is adv.

RF electronics design experience is adv.

Experience with Altium is adv.

Experience managing a team

VHDL experience is adv.

Mixed signal circuit design, layout and manufacturing experience

Well organized and detail oriented

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must have a strong work ethic and ability to operate independently

Embedded C experience

Experience with RF and EMC certification
Must be driven by excellence and be proactive

Minimum 8 years’ experience in Electronic product design

Qualification:

BEng/BSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering

MSc/MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering is adv.
