JOB SUMMARY:
Engineering: Gearing, Rotating machinery, Heavy manufacturing, Mechanical Design and Metallurgy

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIRED:

10 years' experience in the advertised role
Understanding of various engineering fields
Gear industry or rotating equipment experience is needed
Valid driver’s licence, passport and be willing to travel locally and internationally

Description:

Gear design based on DBS standards and programs, as well as international standards
Problem-solving and Improvement
Project/Job scope determination
Management of products and processes to meet compliance regulations
Resolve varies technical problems or deficiencies and developing solutions
Project/Job cost and lead time estimation
Approving and Prep of drawings for manufacturing, procurement, and quotation purposes
Component specification and compilation of BOM
Quality checking of BOM’s, Drawings and Specifications
Writing of technical documentation i.e. specifications, SOP’s, reports, etc.
General engineering administration
Liaise with customers on and off site when required
Do failure investigations and assist with site work when required
Team member
Liaise with other global DBGS engineering offices when required
Lead complicated application engineering enquiries and compiling of proposal packs
Lead complicated engineering jobs and be involved with entire value stream from RFQ, through
engineering, procurement, production, and installation
Promote Quality and continuous improvement
Reverse engineering
NCR handling and shop floor problem solving
Approval of repair scope in the aftermarket service
Adherence to health and safety regulations ensuring a safe working environment for all
Adherence to company policies and procedures
