JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Production/Engineering Industry is seeking a Senior Engineer (Asset Care & Compliance), to join their team in Phalaborwa, Limpopo.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Senior Engineer Asset Care & Compliance
Industry: Manufacturing/Production/Engineering
Location: Phalaborwa, Limpopo
Salary: Market Related Salary

Purpose of the position:

Leading the Tailings team to ensure an effective tailings dam operations and maintenance practices.
Evaluating, planning and coordinating the implementation of allocated projects according to sound project management principles, company Code of Practices, standards ,applications and procedures.

Qualifications:

BSc / BTech Engineering Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Certified GCC Engineer.
Post graduate qualification will be an advantage.
Valid Driver’s licence
VTS Profile ,Orange Green multi skilling and career development)

Experience:

5 -10 years plus experience as a maintenance engineer with experience in the Tailing Storage Facilities (TSF) in a mining industry.
4 years’ experience as an appointed 2.13.1 engineer.

Responsibilities:

Managing legal Compliance with in the relevant allocated sections as per MHSA 2.13.1 appointed.
MHSA Reg 2.13,1 appointed engineer for the relevant sections.
Maintaining legal compliance on mandatory COP and safety standards.
Performing audits in area of responsibilities to ensure legal compliance
Managing maintenance and planning systems in the Tailings section.
Custodian of the allocated sections maintenance philosophy and standard operating procedures.
Budgeting and Management of Financial Resources.
Ensuring staff is familiar with the SHREQ Standards.
Managing internal projects related to maintenance performance and optimisation.
