Senior Engineer Process

POSITION INFO:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

• Provide expert process engineering support to all company operations as well as projects
• Effect continuous improvement in company processes and operations
• Provide expert support and technical validation on Alternate Fuel and resources projects, trials etc.
• Assume joint ownership with the Senior Process Control and Instrumentation Engineer in managing the group operational reporting systems
• Support skills development and transfer through the coaching of operational staff for optimal technical performance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

• BSc / BEng Degree in Chemical Engineering
• ECSA registration will be beneficial

EXPERIENCE & FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

• More than 5 years of clinker and cement manufacturing process experience
• Deep understanding of clinker and cement chemistry
• Understanding of high level control systems
• Data analytics, data science and artificial intelligence understanding will be beneficial
• Experience in the application of business systems in terms of information processing and verification techniques

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Willing and fit to regularly travel, both nationally and internationally (mostly within the African continent)
• High level of integrity
• Self-driven with high energy levels
• Innovative and creative, with exceptional analytical capabilities
• Able to embrace cultural differences and build successful working relationships with all stakeholders (nationally and internationally)

• Good knowledge of legal, environmental as well as other statutory requirements related to the cement manufacturing industry
