SUMMARY:
Senior Engineer Process

POSITION INFO:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Provide expert process engineering support to all company operations as well as projects
Effect continuous improvement in company processes and operations
Provide expert support and technical validation on Alternate Fuel and resources projects, trials etc.
Assume joint ownership with the Senior Process Control and Instrumentation Engineer in managing the group operational reporting systems
Support skills development and transfer through the coaching of operational staff for optimal technical performance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

BSc / BEng Degree in Chemical Engineering
ECSA registration will be beneficial

EXPERIENCE & FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

More than 5 years of clinker and cement manufacturing process experience
Deep understanding of clinker and cement chemistry
Understanding of high level control systems
Data analytics, data science and artificial intelligence understanding will be beneficial
Experience in the application of business systems in terms of information processing and verification techniques

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Willing and fit to regularly travel, both nationally and internationally (mostly within the African continent)
High level of integrity
Self-driven with high energy levels
Innovative and creative, with exceptional analytical capabilities
Able to embrace cultural differences and build successful working relationships with all stakeholders (nationally and internationally)
Customer orientated and end user focused (adaptive to end user needs)
Exceptional ability to influence others in order to get their buy-in
Ability to work independently or in a team
Good leadership, decision making and interpersonal skills
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and listening skills
High level of computer literacy
Good understanding of all Engineering and other technical disciplines
Good knowledge of legal, environmental as well as other statutory requirements related to the cement manufacturing industry
