We’re looking for a seasoned Civil Engineering professional ready to take on a leadership role in Water & Sanitation projects for our Client. POSITION INFO:
Requirements
- BSc / BEng / BTech in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng / Pr Eng Tech) preferred
- Candidates within 12 months of registration submission will also be considered
- 7–10 years’ experience in water & sanitation design and projects
- Strong background in municipal infrastructure: pump stations, reticulation, bulk pipelines, canals, stormwater systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, iDAS, HECâRAS, EPANET, MS Office & MS Project
- Project management and construction monitoring experience
- Ability to work independently, mentor juniors, and contribute in design teams
Responsibilities- Lead detailed design of water and sanitation projects
- Supervise technical drawings, reporting inputs, and junior staff
- Deliver preliminary and detailed designs for water supply, sewer systems, stormwater drains, flood control, and hydraulic structures
- Prepare and evaluate tender and contract documents
- Manage tender processes and client reporting
- Conduct hydrological investigations and flood line determinations
- Oversee construction monitoring, site inspections, and contract administration
- Ensure projects meet quality, budget, and client requirements
- Mentor and train technical staff, ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Contribute to business development, client liaison, and industry networking
Advantageous Extras- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Membership in CESA / SAICE / WISA
- Knowledge of GCC, FIDIC, NEC contracts
- Experience with PPP projects or international funding agencies
- Exposure to water/wastewater treatment plants and hydrology
