We're appointing a hands‑on Senior Engineering Lead to own the modernisation of our core enterprise platforms. This is a high‑impact role for an experienced technologist who can set technical direction, lead complex delivery, and raise the bar for engineering excellence across teams. What you'll own Drive the modernisation of Angular web platforms and associated backend services, from legacy to cloud‑native architectures. Architect and deliver scalable microservices and event‑driven systems on AWS\/Azure\/GCP using Docker and Kubernetes. Embed AI‑assisted workflows into the SDLC (e.g., code generation, test automation, documentation, and review tooling) and guide teams on safe, effective LLM usage. Define and enforce standards for observability, automated testing, CI\/CD, and reliability across the engineering organisation. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of intermediate and senior developers; conduct design reviews, coach on best practices, and shape career paths. Partner with product, security, and operations to turn strategic initiatives into delivered business value . What success looks like in 12 months Key legacy platforms migrated to a modern, cloud‑native stack with measurable improvements in performance, reliability, and deployment frequency. A clear engineering playbook in place (coding standards, testing strategy, observability, AI tooling guidelines) adopted across teams. A high‑performing senior team that consistently delivers complex initiatives with quality and predictability. You bring 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years as Tech Lead \/ Engineering Lead (or equivalent scope). Deep, production‑level expertise in Angular & TypeScript (RxJS, NgRx or similar state management). Proven track record designing and building RESTful APIs \/ GraphQL services with Node.js, Java (Spring Boot), or .NET . Strong hands‑on coding focus : you still review code, lead spikes, and set technical patterns. Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS\/Azure\/GCP) , containerisation, and orchestration ( Docker, Kubernetes ). Practical exposure to AI development tools and LLM API integration in real SDLC workflows. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence at senior levels.
