Senior Finance Clerk (Clothing Retail)

Our client operating in the Retail Sector, based in East London, is currently looking to employ an experienced retail Senior Finance Clerk.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role Clothing retail experience is essential
• Bookkeeping/Finance related qualification (Advantageous) Pastel/Evolution Experience Advanced Excel.

Responsibilities and expectations:

• Complete cash overs/unders and related queries.
• Refunds to customers as and when required.
• Ensure control sheet is updated (customer refund related).
• Daily sales summary prep for reporting.
• Daily speedpoint banking.
• Ensure speedpoint merchant numbers are updated.
• Process store deposits into Excel.
• After month-end run, complete and check cash overs/unders, including RCS, speedpoint and Cards
• Process speedpoint overs/unders journal.
• Cash overs/unders journal and clearing 601 account.
• Cash overs/unders check 1001 account.
• Cash floats and Petty cash.
• Bank Charges – check and process per store.
• Fidelity – Daily Deposits.
• Fidelity – Record and monitor collections and update missed collections.
• Debit order listing.
• Maintaining fixed asset register and prepare depreciation journal.
• Maintain cleanliness in office.
• Finance tasks allocated by the Accountant or Finance Manager.
• Assist auditors (internal / external) with required information/documentation.
