JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client in a goverment department is looking for a Senior Finance Manager for a period of 6 months in Pretoria. The candidate must be white, colour and indian, male or female.

Closing date: 28/03/2022

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in an accounting environment, of which a minimum of 5 years’ experience at senior management level years relevant financial experience in the Public Service environment at senior management level.

REQUIREMENTS :
The successful candidate should have an Honours’s degree or equivalent (SAQA NQF 8) tertiary qualification in in Accounting, Financial Management and related fields; Chartered Accountant (South Africa)/ACCA qualification coupled with extensive Public Sector Financial Management experience will serve as an added advantage Sound knowledge of accounting procedures and requirements. Ability to develop, interpret and implement accounting policies and regulations. Working knowledge of GRAP, BAS, PFMA and MTEF and Budget process, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, Division of Revenue Act, Income Tax Act, Supply Chain Management, Treasury Regulations and associated practice notes.
Extensive experience in the application of Strategic management, Business planning and design, Performance measurement, Financial accounting (including principles of GRAP/MCS), Management accounting, Cost Accounting, Internal control, Internal and external audit, Information systems and Supply Chain Management Understanding of the NHC’s constitutional mandate and its relationship with National and other stakeholders. Sound interpersonal relations.
Computer literacy.
A valid driver’s license is essential.
