Finance Manager

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

Preparing monthly and yearly financial statements, creditors and debtors’ listings, and other reports
Processing and posting cashbook transactions daily using Pastel Evolution
Monthly processing of salary slips using VIP Payroll (600 employees)
Posting of monthly allocations and other adjusting journals
Adhering and improving upon financial systems, policies, and procedures of the organization.
Providing technical financial support when necessary
Distributing the monthly financial statements to departments and handling queries arising from them.
Verifying recorded transactions and report irregularities to management
Maintaining 20 different companies on Pastel and reconciling inter companies
Supervising the Financial team ensuring income & expenses are captured & allocated accurately
Liaising with the auditors and other third parties
Statutory payments of P.A.Y.E, to SARS(e-filling), EMP201 forms, employees medical aid, and pension fund
Ensuring an efficient filling system of vouchers, monthly reports (soft and hard copy), and other financial documents
Ensure finance systems up-to-date, and working efficiently

Requirements

B Com Finance
8 years of Financial manager experience in the food industry
4 years of Pastel Evolution experience
4 years experience with VIP Payroll – 600 staff members
4 years experience in managing a team between 12 – 15 staff members
Advanced Excel skills
