We’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our fast-growing insurance team. In this role, you’ll go beyond the numbers, leading technical reporting, managing complex financial structures, and ensuring we meet our regulatory obligations with confidence and clarity.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS
Lead the audit process, liaising with external and internal auditors
Manage complex ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and consolidations
Ensure regulatory and tax compliance across multiple entities
Support the budgeting and forecasting process with accurate financial data
Identify areas for automation and drive process improvements
Mentor junior team members and support the Financial Manager/Head of Finance

Requirements:

CA(SA) qualification with 3–5 years post-articles experience
Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred
Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex reporting requirements
Proficiency in Excel (ERP system experience advantageous)
A proactive mindset and strong communication skills
