POSITION INFO:
Job & Company Description An established organisation is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Western Cape. This role is suited to an experienced accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of the full finance function while supporting strategic decision-making through accurate reporting and financial analysis. The successful candidate will oversee the month-end close process, statutory compliance, management reporting, audit preparation, and the day-to-day accounting operations. In addition to maintaining strong financial controls, you will mentor junior team members, liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities, and provide valuable financial insights to senior management. Duties: Manage the full month-end accounting close process, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Review and oversee the creditors and debtors functions Prepare and review VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions Liaise with SARS and other regulatory authorities regarding tax and compliance matters Manage the year-end audit process, including audit schedules and supporting documentation Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial reporting Qualifications & Skills: Bcom Minimum 5 years' accounting experience Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and statutory compliance If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
