JOB SUMMARY:
A Private Equity company is looking for a vibrant Senior Financial Controller to come and join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirement;

Finance degree coupled with SAICA articles or "CA(SA)"
3 - 4 years post articles experience
Private equity experience highly advantageous
MDA and Caseware - a must

Key duties;

Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of quarterly report for investment analysis
Preparation and review of monthly profit and loss statement, balance sheet and supporting working papers
Preparation of monthly cashflows and controlling expenditure and cashflow, whilst monitoring variances
Advise on estimates for project funding
Oversee and review financial accounts/general ledger and check for accuracy
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
Perform month end and year end close processes
Manage and supervise members of the finance team
Develop, oversee implementation and monitor accounting policies, procedures and internal control
environment
Verify and capture payment transactions supported by appropriate documentation
Review and reconcile payroll data and prepared statutory returns
Prepare and file statutory payments on SARS e-filing and assist with statutory audits
Provide accounting and financial information and responses to audit
